Razir Transport was launched in 2006 and since that time we have always aspired to be good corporate citizens. In 2016 we took steps to formalize our corporate responsibility policies and practices, and subscribed to the Ecovadis sustainability rating system. Ecovadis rates our policies, practices and actions in four areas: Environment, Labour, Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement. Through our efforts in 2017 we raised our sustainability rating significantly to a level where we benchmark favourably against others in our industry.
We keep working to find areas for improvement. In 2018, we surveyed our business partners to launch a dialogue around Sustainable Procurement. You can read about our approach to Sustainable Procurement and our other focus areas: Environment, Workplace and Fair Business in these web pages.
These areas of commitment reflect the nature of our business and our desire to continue earning the trust and respect of our clients, drivers and other employees, business partners and communities.
Looking ahead, we are working to be SAFE Work Certified under the RPM Trucking Industry Safety program. We have already developed a corporate Safety Policy and completed several required courses. We will have more to report on this front next time.
I invite you to read about our corporate responsibility management approach and our recent performance. I would also welcome your feedback on how we are doing and where we can do more.
